I pulled around a corner on a downtown street last night and goosed the car in first a bit, then shifted to second. It backfired, and wouldn't you know it, a cop pulled me over right then. My tt has test pipes, gutted precats, and HKS Hiper, so it is a bit loud, and has a tendancy to backfire when shifting. First of all, what is causing the backfire when shifting? I assumed it was somewhat normal, and has been running great otherwise...second of all, WTF kind of ticket is "unreasonable sound"? Shit, they pull me over every time I get the TT out, and I am getting sick of this bullf*ckingshit. The cop had pulled me over prior to this for no front plate and window tint, and he was pissed probably when I went to court and beat him there. This time he said "you were speed racing", and I was like "uh, no, just simply accelerating to the posted speed sir", and then he asked "Mr. Cronin, are you a lawyer?" and then I said "uh, no." So, I guess unless the rule I violated relies totally on the discretion of the officer, he will see me in court again....Mr. Cronin = 2, Doughnut eating fool = 0. Sorry to all the cops here on the forum, but this is frigging ridiculous, and I used to be a park ranger for the US Army Corps of Engineers, so I know what kind of idiots and crime there is out there....sorry to rant. Any comments? tia, Jeff
